GIFTSHOP aims to make tourists part of the local community. By starting a conversation, we invite them to become co-creators of the city of Ghent. We seek to shift tourists’ perception from being mere stakeholders and passers-by to becoming shareholders and contributors. We actively engage in dialogue about the challenges that tourism brings. We strive for a real conversation between residents (who are tourists elsewhere) and tourists (who are residents elsewhere).
